‘Reflection’ with Francis Augusto

Caravan Covent Garden

part of a series on Reflection

About the speaker

We’re back! After a short break, we couldn’t be more thrilled to return with our September event, diving into the theme of Reflection.

This month, we’re honoured to welcome the extraordinary Francis Augusto as our speaker!

ABOUT THE SPEAKER:

Francis, born in Angola and shaped by his journey as a refugee and sociologist, brings a unique, heartfelt perspective to his work. His art is a reflection of human experiences—capturing moments that feel both deeply personal and universally relatable. With an eye for the mundane and the profound, Francis invites us to look inward and outward, making us feel as though we’re stepping into a frame of life itself.

His recent work, Songs of Love & Loss (2023), explores the complexities of love through six powerful stories. Winner of the Portrait of Britain award and a 2023 Arts Council England grantee, Francis is a creative force whose documentary-style image-making has graced the likes of Fuji, Nike, and Bloomberg.

Join us as we reflect on personal growth, creativity, and the beauty of introspection.

After a few months away, we can’t wait to reunite with you all!
