Refe Tuma speaks about how we as adults can help to boost our children’s imagination

About the speaker

Every year, Refe Tuma and his wife devote the month of November to convincing their children that, while they sleep, their plastic dinosaurs come to life. They believe that imagination is more than playing pretend—it’s about training children to see the endless possibilities in every moment.

Refe Tuma is a copywriter by day, writing fiction for children and adults by night, his wife Susan is artist and musician, parents of 4 children.

  • Drawings in the photos were made by 4-5 year olds from University Kindergarten at Blindern. The assignment was to draw “one of their days.” At the event, we asked people to guess what the drawings mean.
