‘Perspective’ with Eleni Beveratou

This month's theme is 'PERSPECTIVE'.

One of the most impactful artistic innovations was linear perspective; widely credited to Fillipo Brunelleschi in the early 14th century. This breakthrough enabled artists to create the illusion of three-dimensional space on a flat canvas, paving the way for the ornate art and architecture of the Renaissance. So we're looking at perspectives of design and specifically typography!

MEET THE SPEAKER:

Eleni Beveratou is Creative Director at Dalton Maag. From Athens, Greece, Eleni holds a BA and MA in communication design from Vakalo Art & Design College, and an MA in Typeface Design from the University of Reading. During her time at Dalton Maag, Eleni has led the design and development of typefaces for Airbnb, Facebook, and Oracle. Eleni has a particular interest in the science of reading, and its impact on type design. Her findings have been featured in Digital Fonts and Reading by World Scientific.
