About the speaker
Nicola Rendell is a visual artist and founder/director and chief curator of the Chapel Gallery in Victoria, BC. (Recently retired)
Nicola was born and educated in England. She trained and worked as a Paediatric nurse specialist in London before immigrating to Canada in 1983. She now lives in Victoria, BC with her husband and has two adult children. Creativity has always been at the core of her being. She has a Foundation Arts diploma from Taunton Collage of art, UK.1973 and in 2016 received a Diploma of Fine Arts from Vancouver Island School of Art in Victoria, B.C. Her art practice is multi-disciplinary with a particular interest in socio-political expression.
