About the speaker
Nebi Bardhoshi is Head of Department of Ethnology, at Institute of Cultural Anthropology and Art Studies in Tirana. Bardhoshi received PhD from Faculty of History and Philology, University of Tirana in 2008. Since 2013 Bardhoshi is Associated Professor at the Institute of Cultural Anthropology and Art Studies, in Tirana& Researcher Fellow at Graduate School for East and South East European Studies, at Regensburg. Germany. He is a lecturer of legal anthropology and social Anthropology at University of Tirana, and Doctoral School at Institute of Cultural Anthropology and art Studies in Tirana. He is author and co-author of several scientific publishing in field of social and legal and urban anthropology dealing mainly with themes related to law, state, urban space, legal plurality, legitimacy, collective identity, customary law, post-socialism etc.
Bardhoshi has published the first book Gurtë e Kufinit: kanuni, pronësia, strukturimi social (“Border Stones”: Customary Law, Ownership, Social Structuration” (2011). and is co-editor with Gilles de Rapper and Pierre Sinte, of volume Social Practices and Local Configurations in Balkans (2013), published by European University Press. In 2015, Bardhoshi published a new monograph on anthropology of law called Antropologji e Kanunit (An Anthropology of Kanun), published by Centre for Albanian Studies, in Tirana, and republished in 2016 by the Publishing House ‘Pika Pa Sipërfaqe", Tiranë.
