Where will you go? According to Nate Spees, CEO of creative agency Grizzly, “wilderness” is not somewhere you go, but something that happens to us. The definition of wilderness is quite literally a “a bewildering situation.” He gives us some practical tips on how to survive the seasons of life by clarifying a personal vision, finding a supportive community, nurturing your growth, and keeping an optimistic attitude despite what life throws at you.

Nate Spees is an experienced brand guide and passionate community builder. He is a Partner and CEO of Grizzly, an independent creative agency that blends strategy, design, and storytelling to build deeper connections between brands and people. Nate is passionate about guiding individuals and organizations into the future by challenging convention and impacting culture. Through Grizzly's work, he's partnered with top brands, including Microsoft, Marriott, Google, Nestle, Taylor Guitars, and more.

Nate also launched and hosted CreativeMornings/San Diego - the largest creative gathering in the city - and founded The San Diego Creative Foundation before relocating to Austin in 2020. He is a big believer in the power of creativity and the spirit of adventure, which fuels how he lives his life.

Nate is a coffee enthusiast, golf nerd, and bookworm. He lives in the Hill Country with his wife, daughter, and fluffy pup.
