About the speaker
Michu Benaim Steiner is a creative instigator who leads In-House International, an agency headquartered in Austin but born remote. In-House excels in delivering groundbreaking branding solutions for clients, particularly focusing on climate brands.
Michu specializes in working with unfamiliar or poorly understood entities to find a core truth and unlock their potential.
In addition to client work, In-House actively generates its own creative work. In 2020, it launched an award-winning typeface foundry that releases experimental fonts rooted in personal stories. Explorations also include an ambitious VR game, its annual print series, and a film series about climate founders.
Before running a brand agency, Michu co-founded an arts magazine in her native Venezuela, worked as a journalist, as an academic researcher, and co-founded a civic news product. Michu is an ambassador for CIEDAR at Texas State, hobbyist writer, and mentors creatives through ADPList and #OpenDoorClimate. She has a B.A. in philosophy and comparative literature from UNC Chapel Hill, and an MBA from UT Austin.
