Marc Stringa talks how urban planning crosses over problems to create integrated solutions

About the speaker

Marc is talking about City-Scale urbanism and how creative approaches are required to change behaviours at a mass-scale, and how that translates into everyday creativity, and the rise of the so-called Creative Class.

Commencing practice in the fields of Urban Planning in the early nineties, Marc has led and contributed to a number of major integrated multidisciplinary projects and strategies. His major geography of focus has been the Middle East and has been bouncing around the region for the last 10 years.

His Projects have been wide ranging from architectural design work to regional strategies. Marc’s key strengths lie in these larger integrated multi disciplinary projects and positioning (designing and delivering) planning strategies underpinning these projects.

Marc is currently based in the London, working within a major multi national practice, has previously run his own Urban Planning consultancy and has worked with both public and private entities. His main activity of focus remains city level planning,design and strategy and is obsessed with getting out of London as often as possible.

Marc has degrees within the realms of Environment, Architecture and Planning. The breadth of these studies reflects a genuine desire to engage more fully with his profession and make ever more informed decisions.
