Compassion doesn’t always have to be about big, heavy emotions. It’s about bringing a little bit of light to a dark corner.
About the speaker
Kimberly is a software consultant and designer at Atomic Object, passionate about projects and organizations that facilitate social change through design and illustration. From our view, Kimberly is a passionate Leslie Knope-style champion of the design community of Grand Rapids; a friend to all, great and small; and a tireless good samaritan. To call her compassionate is just the tip of the iceberg.
Kimberly holds degrees in illustration and graphic design from Grand Valley State University and a Master’s Certificate in graphic design from the Florence Design Academy. She currently acts as a mentor to designers participating in DesignLab and as a board member of the Illustration League. Formally, she was the AIGA Director of Design For Good West Michigan, raising over $500k in two years, and a Co-Founder of Ladies That UX GR.
In her spare time, Kimberly loves to play piano, guitar, and ukelele; host parties; travel; and spend time with her family and dog, Peppers.
