About the speaker

Kim Cobb is a climate scientist at Georgia Tech who uses climate signals locked in corals and cave stalagmites to place current climate trends in context. An experienced climate science communicator, she was featured on the Showtime documentary "Years of Living Dangerously", filmed at her remote research site in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. In her spare time, she is mother to four children, blogs (cobblab.blogspot.com), tweets (@coralsncaves), and tries to contain her shoe fetish.
