About the speaker
Kevin Lynch is homeless. By choice, mind you. For the past 18 months, Kevin has been living out of different Airbnb apartments while he works in Hong Kong. That’s 100+ different apartments in 75+ different neighborhoods. His “Yearbnb” project has been profiled by dozens of publications, including BBC, CNN, Yahoo, Refinery29, and Hong Kong’s largest newspaper, the South China Morning Post.
Yearbnb isn’t the first time Kevin’s projects have gained notoriety. His Chicagoans For Rio project had CNN calling for an interview just hours after it launched. And his Chair-Free Chicago project earned billions in media impressions on a budget of $0.00.
Kevin was a longtime resident of Chicago before relocating to China three years ago. It should be noted this relocation had nothing to do with the aforementioned Chicagoans For Rio and Chair-Free Chicago projects.
He is currently the Executive Creative Director of BBDO South China, overseeing creative from BBDO Hong Kong and BBDO Guangzhou. He’ll be talking about being an “accidental revolutionary.” It’s been almost two years since he was last in Chicago, so if you have any questions to ask, please speak slowly. He finds your accents really hard to understand.
