About the speaker
Jim Ray is a dedicated, self-taught home cook who grew up all over the American south and has a certain predilection for Lexington-style barbecue, collard greens, and sweet tea.
With his friend and co-conspirator Neven Mrgan, he is an erstwhile writer and one-time podcaster at Salt & Fat, where they hope to make cooking approachable and fun. He is dubious of anyone who would call themselves a “foodie”.
He and his beautiful wife live near Alamo Square, which they like very much.
