About the speaker

Jenn Schaub has a focused interest in helping creative communities grow. After graduating with a BFA and a Masters of Nonprofit Administration from Grand Valley State University, she began working with community art collectives and currently oversees the Avenue for the Arts as part of the Dwelling Place Neighborhood Revitalization Department. A dedicated art maker and do-er, Jenn advocates for art and artists, grows wild gardens, is a lover of food, and devoted Michigander.

A 2014 YMCA Tribute Award recipient, and Athena Awards Nominee, Jenn has also been recognized as a YNPN Young Nonprofit Professional of the Year, East Hills Goddess, GVSU Distinguished Alumni, and received the P. Michael Wanroy Volunteer in Business Award from the Neighborhood Business Alliance. Jenn is currently a member of the Heartside Business Association, the DGRI Alliance for Livability and is a City of Grand Rapids Art and Museum Commissioner.
