Hans is an architect, educator, urban designer, developer and investor who exercises his passion for crafting buildings and places for people through teaching and practice. Together with his wife, Torrey, the Butzers lead a multi-disciplinary team (BAU) that explores place-making through award-winning architecture and urban design. Notable collaborations such as the Oklahoma City National Memorial, the Skydance Bridge and the SLIVR exemplify Hans’s ambitions for performance-based architecture that is fiscally, environmentally and socially sustainable.
