A Guided Gratitude Journey and Community Reflection

part of a series on Ripple

About the speaker

Our theme this month is Ripple.

Everything you do has the power to create its own ripple effect. One voice can inspire a movement, a single act of kindness can save a life. No matter how minuscule it may seem in the moment, what you do matters. This month, as we mark the one year anniversary of the pandemic, we invite you be in community with us as we examine the ripple effects of our actions and how our impact expands beyond our inner circles.

First, we’ll start off by reflecting together on something that has brought us strength in short breakout groups. We invite you to bring to the event an object that carries this significance to you. What does it mean to you, and how has it brought you strength during this time?

Next, we’ll be writing a letter to the people in our outer and inner circles who have inspired us, lifted us, and brought us together throughout this past year.

To close out, we’ll open up the floor to hear from you. Come prepared to hear and share stories of love, resilience and inspiration.

Additional details

Special Guest Musician: Adam Roberts

Adam Roberts was born into a musical family, his father a singer/guitarist and grandfather in the Steel Guitar Hall of Fame, so it was inevitable that he’d follow suit and pursue his dream of performing onstage for the masses. He began working professionally at age 10 and went on to further his education, receiving his BFA in Musical Theatre from Coastal Carolina University. After following his dreams of moving to NYC, he made his Broadway debut in Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark. Adam has also been seen in Pippin on Broadway, Grand Hotel at Encores, and the National Broadway Tours of Miss Saigon and Dirty Dancing. He most recently finished co-directing and choreographing Broadway Backwards and has original music available on Spotify, iTunes and all streaming platforms.

Thank you to our Music Partner Sing For Hope

This month’s musical performance is brought to us by our music partner Sing For Hope, a NYC based organization harnessing the power of the arts to create a better world. We love their SingforHopeGrams where a professional musician will personally call and perform a song for your loved one, providing a moment of joy and musical connection.
