About the speaker
Gary Davenport is a San Antonio musician and co-founder of Closet Records. He is known for his work with the musical project MANNEQUIN, the "world music" group, HIMMEL, the rock group RED SQUARE, and his later solo career through MuseMyth Recordings. Gary's music spans various genres, including dream pop and phased-out post-punk. His song Sarra, gained international recognition and reviews through the compilation album, Sky Girl, curated by Julien Dechery and DJ Sundae. It was then issued internationally on the LP, SCATTERED THOUGHTS, NUM197, released by the Numero Group featuring more of his recordings from his earlier work.
