Frith Walker

October 30, 7:50am - 9:00am NZDT. Hosted at Online

part of a series on Transit

About the speaker

We will be coming together online via Zoom in collaboration with CreativeMornings Wellington.

As a placemaker, Frith Walker understands that the people, stories and needs of an area are crucial to create successful places. Panuku has a vital role to play in making places where people feel a strong relationship with their communities and a commitment to make things better.

Having spent her former life in the theatre business as a stage manager/producer type, Frith is now very proud to be an advocate of the UN ratified New Urban Agenda global standard for urban development, and a New Zealand representative for the international network Placemaking X.

As Head of Placemaking at Panuku Development Auckland she works within the Design and Place team on the creation of successful public space networks, supporting the programming and activation of Auckland’s public spaces, and championing the difference a healthy public realm can make in terms of creating liveable cities. Which is just like stage managing, only outside.

Prepare yourselves to be motivated, inspired and educated with an awesome talk on the theme of Transit this month with Frith Walker. See you there!
