Expanding what it means to make art and to practice the creative process

Liz Kettle invites us to discover the practice of Stitch Meditation, or an activity fostering creation without criticism, in order to connect with ourselves and find clarity. Realizing the traditional approach to meditation didn’t resonate with her, Kettle explored the creative process, carving out space to pause, breathe, and engage in making. Fabric stands as a universal and accessible conduit for exploration and expression. We are designed to create, express, and to make the world a better place, and by practicing a mindful act without criticism, we can find a deeper self-understanding and connection to others. https://www.textileevolution.com/index.php/hikashop-menu-for-categories-listing/product/469-stitch-meditation-kit
