Join me in discovering our journey towards designing new CEx and unlocking new user paths.

Since Generative AI has become part of our processes, we have been striving to understand how to design a new generation of products with immense complexity concealed beneath a straightforward user-facing appearance. We have chosen to call these new user journeys “Cognitive Experiences (CEx)” as they do not merely react to inputs but grow and evolve alongside users, understanding their intentions and delivering unexpected results. These experiences can vary greatly depending on their purpose and context; therefore, we developed a tool to guide both ourselves and our clients through the process, the “CEx Compass”. Join me in discovering our journey towards designing new CEx and unlocking new user paths through how this tool can assist you in creating complex products and user journeys.

About the speaker

Hi I am Paolo Decaro!

Originally from southern Italy, I have been studying and working across Italy and Europe, broadening my perspective on tackling new design challenges. These past experiences have led to my role as Design Director at Spark Reply and lecturer in design research, which is my absolute passion.

Over the past few years, I have collaborated with my team to create impactful user experiences that resonate with clients and end-users, adapting to trends and new technologies without being biased by them. This includes leveraging Generative AI throughout our workflow and developing a new generation of products, not simply incorporating the technology but reshaping it to offer the best experience to users. In addition to my design role, I am also an ambassador for diversity and inclusion, promoting self-acceptance and inclusive behaviour in the workplace.
