About the speaker

There are games that keep us on the edge, fighting our way to victory and there are games we play for the journey, the sheer excitement and mood they create. But what makes a game great? How hard is it to make one? Who makes games and what does it take?

Derk de Geus leads a whole team of creative people, as the co-founder and CEO of Paladin Studios and he thinks only a great team can deliver great results. They create games with a spark, games that make you smile - be it a sweet twinkle, loud laugh, or evil grin. With a fast-growing team of over 45 people, the company aims to bring out the best in its people, and is filled to the brim with creativity, professionalism and good vibes.

At the talk, Derk will tell us the ins and outs of Paladin Studios, how they work together as a team to bring games to life and what you, as a creative person, can learn from it.
