Ethos is traditionally defined as the characteristic spirit of a culture, era or community as manifested in its values, beliefs and aspirations. Dave Seeman drills it down to simply the spirit of an era as defined by its values. He looks back on the last 1000 years and notes the ethos of profit > people > planet and challenges us to zoom out and gain perspective. What if we switched our focus to planet > people > profit instead? What if we connected with others on what we have in common versus debating the minutiae of what we don’t?
