About the speaker

Daniel S. Workman is a Denver, CO based visual artist from West Virginia. With a background in anthropology, photography, and filmmaking, he channels his curiosity about culture and nature into every story he tells—always seeking the threads that unite people and their surroundings. As the director of BEARDOGS, an independently funded film, Workman uses anthropological insight and cinematic craft to examine how culture is inherited across generations and reflect on the human condition. By fostering open dialogue and resisting the polarization of our times, he aims to bring viewers closer together in shared understanding. Through his lens, Workman reveals the significance of everyday moments and hidden narratives, emphasizing empathy and reflection. By bridging diverse worlds, he hopes to foster connections that transcend cultural and generational divides.
