About the speaker

Cynthia believes sex is an integral part of life and that a healthy sexual relationship enhances the quality of a romantic intimate relationship and improves one’s physical and emotional health. As a sex therapist, Cynthia provides sex education and counseling to individuals and couples of both sexes ranging from young teenagers to adults on various sexual issues, such as sexual addiction, sexual dysfunction, sexual desire disorders, sexual arousal disorders and orgasm disorders; emotional, relationship, and communication problems as well as issues relating to gender and homosexuality.

Cynthia graduated from the University of Sydney, Australia, with a Masters degree of Health Science, majoring in Sexual Health. She has also attained the Certificate of Professional Mediation Convener, with mediation skills in handling sexual assault cases. She is a member of the Australian Association of Sex Educators, Researchers and Therapists (AASERT). Through counseling services, Cynthia aims to help individuals better understand themselves, as well as their partners, solve their sexual and relationship issues, enhance their sexual enjoyment, and thus improve their physical, mental and social well-being.

Cynthia is regularly profiled in the media as a sex therapist. Her interviews have been featured in Apple Daily, Next Magazine, JMen Magazine, Cosmopolitan Magazine, Commercial Radio 1, RTHK Radio 3 and TVB J2. Alongside her counseling practice, Cynthia has been active in the entertainment industry for many years as an emcee, program hostess, actress and producer, and she currently hosts several programs on the local radio station. Born to a multi-cultural family, Cynthia is well aware of the misunderstandings and misconceptions people may have, and is uniquely placed to advise on cultural issues and taboos relating to sex.
