Join us for our May event, inspired by Creative Mornings’ global monthly them NOW. It’s a bumper event this month, as we’ll be joined by not one but two fantastic speakers! Taking their inspiration from the theme of NOW, artist Susie Dalton and the team from Spit It Out.

Susie Rose Dalton is an artist and ceramicist, currently living and working in Glasgow. Her work is concerned with temporality and finding ways to put form to tender experiences. When she is not making art, she works in the movement to end gender-based violence.

Spit It Out are an award-winning organisation (SCIO) aiming to build connections and provide a platform for discussions around trauma and healing through creativity. Their approach to all the work they do is founded in the provision of education, open discussion and support on these subjects often portrayed as taboo and which can lead to trauma, including consent, sex ed, racism, LGBTQIA+ rights, mental illnesses and body image.

This month we’ll be at The Melting Pot, Scotland’s Centre for Social Innovation and one of the oldest co-working communities in the country!

The Melting Pot are offering all attendees access to a free day of co-working on Friday after the event. If you’d like to book a desk at The Melting Pot for Friday 27th May, send us an email at edinburgh@creativemornings.com.

Can’t make it in person? Don’t worry, we’ll be streaming the event live on YouTube! Click the link to watch on the morning: https://youtu.be/O9QX_lLwpy4

We are doing our best to make the event as Covid-secure as we possibly can. We will be following Scottish Government guidance, and there will be a number of safety procedures and precautions in place. Attendees may be asked to wear a mask when moving around inside the venue. If you are experiencing Covid symptoms on the day, we would ask that you do not attend. Thank you for your understanding and patience.
