About the speaker

Carolyn Patton is a Creative Director with 25 years experience in advertising and has worked for corporations and agencies in both Canada & Europe. She’s an expert in merging art and commerce and has extensive experience in building creative teams and strategies. Most recently Carolyn developed the internal creative agency at ATB Financial where she served as its Director. Before that, she was the Creative Director for Intuit Global Business Division/Canada & UK. She has worked in the agency world in Edmonton as the creative lead at Calder Bateman – and overseas in Italy for DDB and McCann Erickson on Coca Cola, Movado, Phillips, and Rubbermaid, and Lacoste. Carolyn has also taught at the University of Alberta, Faculty of Fine Arts, as a Sessional Instructor. Online & offline, she delivers campaigns and ideas that amplify products and brands. Carolyn currently runs her communications company and serves on the Board of Directors at the Art Gallery of Alberta. She also mentors homeless youth providing cameras and instruction to help them build a greater understanding of themselves and their potential.
