About the speaker
Bridget owns a small art business specializing in scherenschnitte (art of paper cutting design), primarily custom pet portraits. Some of the portraits she creates consist of over 100 pieces of hand cut paper.
For the past few years, she has been hired to draw live marker portraits of pets for events with many local organizations and companies including the Harvard Square Business Association, Park-9 Dog Bar, ONYVA Dog Spa (Boston & Tampa, FL), Kendra Scott, Carpenter & Company (Charles Hotel), Bond Vet and the Boston Veterinary Clinic. She has participated in the Somerville Fluff Festival, Hull Artists Open Studios, Open Newbury Street, and Chalk on the Walk. She has done charity events on behalf of Polkadog/Worcester Animal Rescue League, Protection of Animals in Wakefield Society, Inc, and JR's Paws for a Cause.
Her fine art repertoire includes miniature models made of cardboard, a life size deer made of a recycled Christmas tree and literally selling hand painted seashells by the seashore.
Bridget earned her bachelor's degree in Studio Art with a minor in Art History at Providence College. She is a member of the Hull Artists and Fuller Craft Museum.
