About the speaker

Asaf Ronen is the Director of Programming & Services at Austin Creative Alliance, where he helps artists and arts organizations access resources, scale their work, and build sustainable practices—essentially serving as a life coach for creatives.

Since 1990, Asaf has been involved in improvisational theater and comedy, authoring Directing Improv: Show the Way by Getting Out of the Way. After relocating to Austin in 2007, he worked as Education Director at The Institution Theater and Conservatory Director at Coldtowne Theater. He’s now launching The Seed, a new improv school focused on personal growth and innovation.

Asaf is also a producer of the Out of Bounds Comedy Festival and the documentary Trust Us, This Is All Made Up (2009). He has led applied improvisation workshops for diverse groups, including NBA mascots, ministers, and major companies like Dell, Apple, and Progressive. Additionally, Asaf has taught improv worldwide, including in Canada, the UK, Norway, and 29 U.S. states.
