After being laid off as a visual effects artist, Anthony Lucero is forced to diversify his role by becoming a film-maker, focusing on story, character and acting. His film ‘East Side Sushi’ is about blending culture and gender, however this concept didn’t immediately gel with the industry as they’re stuck on action with lead male actors. Since there’s no recognizable face attached to the film, it didn’t do great for a while, but his drive to keep pushing forward helped the movie finally hit a high ranking on the charts.
