About the speaker

Born on May 23,1965 in Tirana, in a family of artists. Graduated from the Academy of Arts for Painting-Scenography-Costume design. Specializes in Italy for Fashion Design and holds a scientific master’s degree for ethnology-folklore, at the Center for Albanological Studies. Master-pedagogue, currently at the European University of Tirana and expert of professional curriculum in fashion-design. Artist-designer in the field of fashion and decoration, painter and costume designer of shows with weight in several genres of the stage, such as: theater, opera, ballet, television, and film.
Zajmi has experimented with art and tradition in the renewal of old national heritage techniques and is knowledgeable of them as few ethnology researchers are. Her stylistic creativity is developed in several areas of design: clothing, decor, objects, etc.
She is a painter with a special creative style; unique in the way of giving the artistic message, the tools she uses and the form in all her creativity: painting, costume design, fashion, where the versatility of line and expressive color intertwine between magic and real. The painting is perceived with characters in certain philosophies where within the reports of color, line, length and stylization of the figure, it distinguishes their power and personality, between stylistic details with a unique character.
