“Firstly taking action brings clarity and we’ll dive into each of these individually with more detail, the second point taking action, it will force you to get out of your own way.”

ON THE WORLDWIDE THEME OF NOW: “It is not our task to master the present, but to savor it. To pause. Go still. Feel the air on the back of our necks, sit in both discomfort and pleasure, and marvel in the radiance of the present moment. So that we may, in the poet William Blake’s words, “Hold Infinity in the palm of your hand / And Eternity in an hour.” For all we ever have is now.”

About the speaker

Meet Adam Vicarel. According to Adam's website, he's a human, but he shows up often as a Creative Director, a Teacher, and a Writer in many of his moments.

He's been in the throes of creativity with brands like NBC, Lululemon, Twitter, Sharpie, and New Belgium Brewing. He's the kind of fella who has mad respect for mom, who's willing to eat bugs for a good time, and who can't pass up a nice whiskey.

He makes all sorts of cool stuff even cooler - making logos, painting dope murals, and specializing in hand-lettering across a number of mediums. If you have driven around Denver, odds are you've seen his work on a big wall. If you are an admirer of cannabis, delicious food, artisan bakeshops, live music, or bespoke goods, you just might have bought something brand-designed by Adam and his team.

One thing Adam is especially gifted at is helping others learn to bring their creative selves to life. He's got a solid newsletter you should probably subscribe to, and on his blog he shares everything from his journey, his process, and even his friggin' supply list because he simply believes in the ripple effect of creativity and humans being awesome. We highly suggest you scope out all this wisdom.

Lucky for us, we get to hear from Adam live on May 20th, at Art Gym Denver, as we explore the worldwide theme of "NOW!"
