Everything has a purpose. You can’t have the good only; it’s the good and the bad that come together to make us who we are. That’s the symmetry of hope.

Real change happens when the people who need it, lead it.

All that misery, all that pressure equipped us to be the solution to the problem that we saw in our community.

All the hopelessness, all the despair that I endured up to that point in my life, it suddenly took on a meaning. It became fuel that I would use to push me forward in life.

I needed to take control of my life. I could no longer stay on this escalator heading in the wrong direction, heading to a downward destiny. I had to stop, turn around and not walk in the opposite direction that the escalator was taking me—I needed to run. But I couldn’t run alone.

Face to face interactions have never been more important.

Even though I'm working with completely different demographics and stages in life, they all feel the benefits [of singing].

Singing is life affirming.

We sing at the big moments in life.

We find symmetry in buildings, photography, architecture, design, the Hadron Collider, and nature.

Symmetry is all around us. It is experienced and expressed through many different forms of human action and creativity.

There's a lot of coding agencies out there and you have to make yourself different - so I thought to myself, "Why don't we start teaching people how to code?" And that morning, that's what we did.

You have to have trust in yourself, God, the universe, whatever you want to trust in, that whatever you're doing is right for you. Otherwise, you'll be going into it halfheartedly.

Creating and sharing what you love attracts similar people and situations.

I think just being alive is an accomplishment – you know what I mean? It’s super huge. And a lot of people don’t realize that because they have all this work they need to be doing and they’re not doing it and they’re feeling depressed, feeling like I can’t do anything. ‘What am I doing? I guess I’ll just do telemarketing or something.’ The thing is – just being alive at any point is a big deal. I don’t know… It’s hard to express that… it’s like do you understand this? Do you? Do you?
