For me, there was just this spark inside me and it became so crystal clear that saving endangered species is all about people; it’s about community-based education and nobody was doing it. I knew this was my truth.

We no longer escape to nature. Maybe re reinvent it and see it where it is which is everywhere we are. And we are part of the system.

I love what I do because of the way it connects me to others and to the world.

There are rare times when you reach a decision straight from the heart, without analyzing things, and these are the times when you begin to live your truth.

Finding a job I loved was the difference between truly, truly living my life, or just waiting to die.

If we do want the beloved community…then everyone needs to feel that they belong. Everyone needs to feel that they can thrive.

Self-reflection is one of the biggest smallest things you can do.

In communities we have strength and energy. We can use that to make things happen.

What do you want to see happening in your world? What do you want to be a part of?

If you haven't found your community, make steps to create one, even if it is just saying hello to your neighbour.

Rabble has become this community people can reach out to when they don't anyone. It's actually the community I was looking for when I first moved into the city. And I'm incredibly proud of that.

We need to sit next to people who can help us and in return we can help them.

Transparency and communication are key.

Community has shared intention.

Communities are built around values.

Creating a community is extremely complicated and it’s complicated because communities are made of people.

The way they spoke about this space and the community they were trying to create, about collaboration, about side projects and genuinely being friends was really exciting at the time, and I thought this has to happen in Cardiff!

Adaptation is not about ‘me’ – it’s about ‘we’.

If you are not in control of your brand or your decision-making, someone else will be. There will be times where you have to choose.

Especially in a situation of uncertainty, it’s better to float and enjoy it than to take off swimming with no direction and end up exhausting yourself.

Floating does not mean that you’re sitting by the riverbank but it does mean that you’re committed to finding home within yourself. Then, take off swimming towards a goal.

Make sure that you’re preserving your essence and you’re preserving what’s unique about you. Because we all have something authentic to give to the world.

Every voice has something to contribute, and every voice matters in our community. Sometimes we have to pause long enough to let those softer voices have their say.

Leadership is a behavior – not a role.

If you have an idea or a thought for something novel, keep pushing until you can get someone to listen to you. What you say matters, and you have to find a way to get it out there.
