Born and raised in New Jersey. Studied Finance & Accounting at Boston College. Graduated in 2011. Finance, accounting, and investing. That was my professional career for 4 years plus what I studied in college. However, I've also spent many years volunteering with a non-profit called America Needs You and served on their Young Leaders Board helping to plan and manage fundraising events and other organizational efforts. In addition I've had a ton of experience planning, managing, and coordinating events. I am currently working on building a unique pop up food events company as well as a platform to connect english speaking travelers with english teachers around the world. I've spent a lot of time reading about startups and trying to start them.
Design (all types), Computer programming and development (front end and back end), Mobile development (iOS and Android), occasionally some legal advice would be great as well
"Don't plan your life, manage your life." The idea being you should have a general direction and certainly have a vision but be open to new opportunities, new people, and new ideas that happen along the way - because you'll find if you try to plan it, nothing ever goes to plan
Well there are 2 answers: (1) My grandparents and my parents - the sacrifices they've made, the work they've done, and the things they've achieved to create a better life for their children is nothing short of amazing and they are my inspiration and motivation for everything I've achieved in my life. (2) Elon Musk - never before has a man of Elon Musk's influence existed in my opinion. The impact he has single handedly had on the world and the unforeseen impact he will have blows my mind every time I think about it. He is incredibly smart and also incredibly open and believes in the betterment of society not just of himself. Also, any person that is used as the basis for Tony Stark's character in Ironman is pretty bad ass. I highly recommend this 4 part series on "Wait But Why" to better understand why Musk is the "World's Raddest Man" (http://waitbutwhy.com/2015/05/elon-musk-the-worlds-raddest-man.html).
Thinking of an applicable movie quote in an absurd amount of situations.

Ikigai (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ikigai), which is a Japanese word roughly translated into "reason for being." It is effectively the intersection of what you love, what you are good at, what you can get paid for, and what the world needs (or also your passion, profession, vocation and mission). It is an incredible concept to help guide you in understanding who you are and who you want to be...This comes from the experience I just had spending one month in Kyoto and learned very much about Japanese culture. My favorite thing was the existence of words in the Japanese language that have no direct translation in English. The Japanese have such a deep appreciation for nature, food and human purpose that they have words with extremely complex meanings (at least in English). One of these is the word Ikigai.
It's not animated but this is the best gif ever and I hope this is me in 40-50 years... http://giphy.com/gifs/r52xR8XLhq1Zm

I want to be shocked by being a light for someone at the end of a tunnel. I want to be shocked to know that something I did made a difference, no matter how small it is.
