UGLY with the Dufala Brothers

Moving freely between disciplines, brothers Steven and Billy Dufala have created drawings, prints, sculpture, performance, music and design, and their primary concern is the collaborative creation of new work in a variety of media. Their site-specific and installation work engages directly with their community of artists and makers in Philadelphia, but also the city more broadly. The brothers co-teach at PAFA and have been members of the band Man Man, of which Steven is a founding member.

EDUCATION with Dan Mall

Dan Mall is a designer and advisor from Philly. He’s the founder of SuperFriendly, a design collaborative that brings exquisite creative direction & design to organizations with the most complex problems involving people, content, and devices. Dan is an enthralled husband & dad and co-founder of Businessology and Typedia. He was formerly Design Director at Big Spaceship, Interactive Director at Happy Cog, a technical editor for A List Apart, and singer/keyboard player for contemporary-Christian band Four24.

CHANCE with Neighborhood Film Company

Based in Brewerytown, NFC creates content for clients such as Nike, Anthropologie and Comcast. Through their non-profit, Working Film Establishment, they use their work to train adults in recovery for thriving employment. WFE provides intensive hard and soft-skill training to carefully selected adults in order to rigorously groom them for profitable, sustainable careers. Beyond the targeted career coaching, they extend paid apprenticeships within the film company to provide practical exposure to the professional world while sheltering apprentices in the close, nurturing environment they’re fostering.
