“I think it’s easy to mistake understanding for empathy - we want empathy so badly. Maybe learning to make that distinction is part of growing up. It’s hard and ugly to know somebody can understand you without even liking you” - Thomas Harris, Hannibal (via quotespile)

“There’s nothing else happening in Vancouver that’s like CreativeMornings, consistently serving every corner of the creative community. Beyond the speakers who inspire, the diversity of the people I’ve been seated next to and "forced” to talk to through the brilliant format of the event has opened my eyes to opinions and personalities that I wouldn’t otherwise be engaged with. There’s something magic in that.“

–Bob Kronbauer, Founder & Editor, VancouverIsAwesome.com

The ticket lottery for Creative Mornings Vancouver is open! Make sure you grab your ticket for Emapthy-themed September with Samantha Reynolds, founder of Echo Storytelling Agency.

“Brene Brown studies human connection – our ability to empathize, belong, love. In a poignant, funny talk at TEDxHouston, she shares a deep insight from her research, one that sent her on a personal quest to know herself as well as to understand humanity.”
