Meet the team: Jade Paynter

CreativeMornings Edinburgh is entirely volunteer-run! Our amazing team is made up of people from all kinds of creative backgrounds and practices, united by a passion for connection and community. As a wee peek behind the scenes, we’ll be shining a spotlight on each of them and giving you a chance to meet the team.

If you follow us on Instagram, you’ll already be familiar with CMEdi volunteer Jade’s work. She’s been capturing the magic of our events on camera since our relaunch in February. We had her answer some questions about her creative life.

Jade Paynter

Hi, Jade! What do you do for a crust?

I’m a freelance motion designer, covering a range of 2D motion graphics and animation. I work on branding, web, social media campaigns, and live events.

What project are you most proud of?

A music visualiser for New Zealand artist Louis Baker. I got to push and play within my practice.

Watch "Kapakapa."

How do you stay motivated creatively?

By attending creative events and exhibitions in Scotland (like CreativeMornings!). Hearing different paths and projects always inspires me.

Your creative goal this year?

Create more personal work to explore my own style. Freelancers often spend so much time on client work, there's little left for their own creativity.
