Trevino L. Brings Plenty weaves life and struggle as one interconnected tissue functioning against capitalism.

As an author, his ability to tell stories came naturally but when Brings Plenty understood the connections of the systems placed upon his Native American communities through his experience in social work, a book was formed to make sense of how we are all connected in an algorithm of struggle. In an intimate conversation with the author, we hear the context behind his most recent book, “WakpĂĄ Wanåǧi, Ghost River” and learn about colonialism’s disruption of community relationships with land, spirituality, language, and culture. By weaving poetry and philosophy we are guided through a riveting thinking exercise in human nature, social relationships, and our collective struggle to have our living conditions met under the pressures of a capitalist society.
