About the speaker

Tiffany Meesha Thompson, EMBA

Founding Director | Petrichor Projects

Tiffany Meesha Thompson, EMBA, possesses a two decade history marked by orchestrating grand-scale contemporary art endeavors. At the helm of the contemporary art agency, Petrichor Projects, she's garnered a reputation for curating and managing global civic-scale art projects from inception to fruition. Working alongside international governments, top-tier corporations, and NGOs, Thompson skillfully aligns the visions of varied stakeholders.

A hallmark of her career was her role developing "Sports Boulevard," a 135km sustainable urban park masterplan splashed with grand-scale public artworks in Saudi Arabia, commissioned by Riyadh's Royal Commission. Her public art expertise played a role in bringing to life the "Peace Plaza" for the Mayo Clinic and City of Rochester. Extending her collaboration with the Mayo Clinic, she curated the artwork collection for academic floors of their Siebens building.

Tiffany charted the course for Mauritius' first contemporary art pavilion at the Venice Biennale in Italy, consulting for the nation's Ministry of Arts and Culture. Her diverse expertise encompasses acting as chief curator for art galleries, developing and directing artist residencies for hospitality companies in Mexico, Chile, Germany, and the US. She recently intertwined art with ecology and cutting-edge technology for an eco project in Chile as well as curated exhibitions for renowned entities such as the French Embassy and the United Nations.

Combining her artistic vision with her Executive Business Management expertise, she is redefining funding strategies tailored for museums. Over the past five years, her partnership with the Contemporary Arts Museum Houston (CAMH) has focused on expanding the museum’s reach beyond its gallery walls, overseeing CAMH’s ambitious public art programs that span far beyond Houston. In Kansas City, her company, Petrichor Projects, serves as the art advisor for the Barney Allis Plaza Redevelopment Project, envisioned as the welcome mat to the city.
