About this FieldTrip
Want to mine creative ideas from your personal unconscious? In this FieldTrip with Vacation With An Artist / VAWAA and Dutch art educator Annette, we’ll learn Carl Jung’s technique of “active imagination” to access the rich world of soulful imagination.
â¨WHAT TO EXPECT
âď¸We will use guided imagery exercises to wander through the unknown corners of our imagination. This will give you wonderful ideas for your art and expand your artistic expression.âď¸ Then you’ll use the medium of our choice to express these ideas, and share with others.

Use the medium of our choice for this FieldTrip! Materials might include…âď¸Pen, paper/notebook,
âď¸pencil or charcoal
âď¸paints
âď¸magazine cut outs, scissors,
âď¸UHU stick glue paper and cardboard to use as background for collage…
âď¸whichever medium you feel comfortable with or wish to explore!

Vacation With An Artist VAWAA is a global platform that enables anyone to book an in-person mini-apprenticeship with remarkable artists and makers around the world â from learning how to make your own kayaks in upstate New York to natural textile dyeing in Mexico.
Annette is an art educator, collage and photomontage artist based in Athens’ beautiful countryside. Trained in prestigious art schools in United States, France, Austria, and Greece, she has been focusing on collage, photomontage, and mixed media for three decades. She strives to merge fantasy and reality in each composition to lead us to the dreamland of human emotions. Dostoyevsky, Ibsen, Bergman, and Hitchcock inspire her, as well as collage artists like Hannah Hoch, Max Ernst, Martha Rosler, and John Stezaker.
