About this FieldTrip
Our body is our first language. Every thought, sensation, emotion, and feeling is born of and experienced by our body. Words that shimmer and pulse and evoke emanate from the depths of the body. Good poetry is physical.
Poetry is less about words and more about living alongside some sense of aliveness in the body and translating that experience.
This poetry workshop will titrate between using our bodies to evoke experience through breath and movement and trying to name our direct experience.
Experience your body as poetry in motion: the catalyst to generative writing that feels alive on the page.

āļø Breath, movement, and meditation as a portal into writingāļø Poetry prompts born of your own bodily experience
āļø A space to write together
āļø A space to share your poem or experience
šWHAT TO KNOW OR BRING
āļø Wear clothing you can move in and feels yummy against your skināļø Find a private space that has room for movement
āļø Use good speakers or headphones if they are available to you
āļø Bring a notebook and pen. There will be space for writing poetry.
