About this FieldTrip
Our body is our first language. Every thought, sensation, emotion, and feeling is born of and experienced by our body. Words that shimmer and pulse and evoke emanate from the depths of the body. Good poetry is physical.
Poetry is less about words and more about living alongside some sense of aliveness in the body and translating that experience.
This poetry workshop will titrate between using our bodies to evoke experience through breath and movement and trying to name our direct experience.
Experience your body as poetry in motion: the catalyst to generative writing that feels alive on the page.

âď¸ A space to share your poem or experience
đWHAT TO KNOW OR BRING
âď¸ Wear clothing you can move in and feels yummy against your skinâď¸ Find a private space that has room for movement
âď¸ Use good speakers or headphones if they are available to you
âď¸ Bring a notebook and pen. There will be space for writing poetry.
