Prior to working for trendwatching.com, Tara spent 7 years working in advertising as a copywriter, strategizing, conceptualising and producing campaigns on a global and regional level for major multinational brands including Nike, The Economist, Heineken, Olay, Whiskas and Singapore Airlines. She has worked at agencies including Publicis, Ogilvy and TBWA.
Tara has spent the last 3 years working in market research and trends in China, this includes researching & writing reports across consumer categories from F&B, to nightlife, sports, health and nutrition, fashion and beauty and more. Tara has also worked as a writer and consultant to a youth market research consultancy, helping Chevrolet figure out how to market compact cars to young creative types in China and helped Mercedes understand the new young affluent generation in China, so they could better create and market their cars to them.
