In this talk I take you on a voyage through the worlds of music and imagination. How these two creative streams mutually support each other, and how they can lead to inspiration and renewal. I give you some of my own story, and there will also be several interactive listening exercises to stimulate reflection. Be prepared for a unique blend of music, storytelling and inspiration.
About the speaker
Stephen Svanholm is a mini-Renaissance man - 50% maybe. Born in the UK to self-employed Swedish/Welsh parents, his adult life includes periods as a heavy metal guitarist, postgrad music student, Buddhist meditator, opera singer, business owner and music agent.
For the last 6 years he has been active within Toastmasters International, often competing and garnering awards such as Swedish Champion of Improvised Speaking in 2020, Swedish Champion of Speech Evaluation in 2021 and 2023, and Swedish Champion of International Speaking in 2024. For the 24-25 academic year he was President of Stockholm Speakers Club.
He has a strong focus on storytelling, and often incorporates motivational aspects and creativity in both his stage speeches and spoken word videos on his Youtube channel.
