Sivan Breemhaar

Sivan Breemhaar founded Afriek together with Kars Gerrits in 2013. After doing research in Rwanda for her master's thesis in Conflict Studies and Human Rights, Sivan decided that she wanted to do something practical to change peoples' perceptions of Africa. With their “story that suits”, Sivan and Kars tell the story behind the clothing they make together with craftsmen in Rwanda. Since introducing colorful handmade blazers for men, Afriek has extended their menswear collection and launched a womenswear line designed by Lisa Konno. http://afriek.com/
