Simone Weinstein Katie Howard

Simone Weinstein and Katie Howard, founders of Little Dame, set out to represent freelance artists, expose San Diego to new upcoming visual artists, and offer a space for education. Their small retail space in Normal Heights offers oddities like taxidermy crafted by female artists, visual art, gifts, and books. As a cooperative space, Little Dame hosts art exhibitions and artist-led workshops, as well as curate events that aim to benefit both the art community and non-profit organizations. Little Dame was invited to be the first taxidermy installation ever included in a Museum of Photographic Arts exhibition.
