About the speaker

Shannon Sauro is an applied linguist, researcher, teacher, runner, fan, and avid podcaster in the Sherlock Holmes fandom. She was born in Montreal, Canada, raised in the United States, and has been living in Malmö for the past three years, where she trains English teachers at Malmö University and carries out research on fanfiction and fandom activities for language and literary learning.
