About the speaker
Sarah Obenauer is the Founder & Director of Make a Mark, an organization created to provide resources and foster an environment where community organizations and visual communicators can engage with one another to better our world. Make a Mark’s flagship event is a 12-hour design and development marathon benefiting humanitarian causes located in 11 cities across the globe.
When Sarah was working at a nonprofit that helped reduce teen fatalities on the road, she saw the power of design for a nonprofit organization—more engagement, more grant funding, and more lives saved. In that time, she also started hearing from other creatives and technologists that they wanted a way to use their strengths to better the community in the most impactful way. From this, Make a Mark was born.
