About the speaker
Safeer Ullah Khan is a theatre artist with expertise in training actors, writing scripts, acting, and direction. In parallel, he has served many for-profits as well as not-for-profit entities with his communication skills. These include Channel 7 Communications Private Limited, Adgroup Private Limited, The Network for Consumer Protection, and Bedari.
He has worked with diverse communities (ethnically as well as religiously) to raise awareness on various social issues including tolerance, religious extremism, domestic violence, girls’ education, child marriages, environmental issues, and many more.
He has trained community theater groups in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and has extensive experience of street theatre. He speaks Pashto, Hindko, Punjabi, Urdu, and English, while understand Seraiki, and Sindhi.
Currently, he is serving Theatre Wallay as a Theatre Director, teaching acting classes at Rung School of Music and Arts, and working as Communications Manager with Ambassador’s Fund Grant Program (AFGP), which is managed by Trust for Democratic Education and Accountability (TDEA).
