Ripple across the UK

part of a series on Ripple

About the speaker

Tash has spent over 20 years shaping future change-makers in the creative industry. Previously as Programme Leader of the BA and MA Graphic Design course at Salford University, then as Director of Masters Europe at Hyper Island. Her most recent role as Head of Learning Design at SNOOK is promoting understanding of the impact of Design within Industry.

Parallel to disrupting design education, Tash has acted as an album creative for the band Elbow, carried out Skateboard design collaborations with Linder Sterling and has her own branded Meitu phone released in China. Her popular daily typographic project, ‘Mundaneaday’ is now it its seventh year, and includes large scale hand-lettered murals in studios around UK. Tash has also teamed up with the mighty Jenny Theolin for the creative venture Design Education. This is a safe space for all formal and informal teachers within the design industry to swap and share knowledge, experiences, research, ideas and insights.

On a rocky terrain, at the intersection of emotional ballad and experimental pop, lies Mantaraybryn. Shifting between lyrics of vulnerability and strength, Mantaraybryn invites us into his songs, merging quiet honest poems with heaving dancefloor energy that leaves listeners bewitched.

Taking inspiration from history, nature, and literature, the end result sees Mantaraybryn as the missing link between Florence and the Machine, Caribou, and Foals. Often delicate and minimal, only to switch to an undiminished roar, Mantaraybryn’s vocals and lyrics are what set him apart.

We’re creating a ripple and bringing all of us closer together with a joint UK-wide event.

Even though we can’t come together in person, this virtual event is bringing nine CreativeMornings chapters together for one glorious morning.

👋 CreativeMornings Belfast, Bristol, Cardiff, Derby, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Leamington Spa, London & Sheffield.

There will be music performance, giveaways, community spotlights and an amazing speaker. It’s a full on breakfast party!

Until it is possible to hold in-person events safely and responsibly, CreativeMornings/ Edinburgh has moved onto Zoom!

Similar to the in-person gatherings, this is a ticketed event so make sure to sign up to avoid disappointment.

⚠️ You will receive a confirmation email when you book your ticket that contains the link to the Zoom event. Please do not share this link on social media ⚠️

Attendees will be muted for much of the event, so please switch on your video cameras so we can see your beautiful smiles! And use Zoom’s chat feature to let the host, speaker and other attendees how you’re doing! If it is not possible for you to use your camera, please set your Zoom profile to show a photo of your face (this helps us to keep the event secure).

If you have any issues connecting to the event, please contact us via edinburgh@creativemornings.com
