Rachel Rushing & Emily Riggert

Sunset Art Studios is a social practice artist collective between Emily Riggert and Rachel Rushing. Through our work we operate an inclusive studio space, residency and gallery. Sunset has been increasing public access to the arts and creating jobs for working artists in Southern Dallas since our opening in May 2016. We do this by removing economic barriers to producing work through providing free studio space in the Sunset Residency Program, and by removing geographic and social barriers to seeing art and engaging with artists for residents of the southern Dallas neighborhood of Oak Cliff through free community arts programming.
